A Sample of of Bushmen (Khoisan) Photographs from the Archives of Mike Elliott

This has been a rush job so the slides have been scanned quickly and there has not been time to clean up the images. They represent a small part of my collection of more than 15 000 slides of the Bushmen, Bakhalahardi, African wildldlife and the landscapes of Namibia, Botswana & South Africa. It is my intention in the near future to scan all of them properly and present them in a searchable manner on these pages. See more photos, link to pure Bushman Information or visit Mike's Art Web Site.

These images may only be reproduced by private individuals for their personal use. They may not be used for any commercial purposes, for gain or advertising purposes, including use on Web Pages and by Charity organisations, without the permission of Mike Elliott.

To my knowledge no Bushmen anywhere receive any benefit from the sale of this product.

Complaint sent to eBay 19th March 2007

An eBay outfit calling itself 'hoodiatrust' is using unauthorised copies of my Photos & Links from these copies to my websites have resulted in significant additional traffic since July 2006 so my credibility may have been already severely compromised and has necessitated my having to update and modify the websites with disclaimers etc.

9 Sample 'hoodiatrust' eBay sale auctions carrying unauthorised copies of my photos are 170074888275 , 170083739474 , 170082726175 , 170086218440 , 170088511201 , 170086065507 , 170087206238 , 170087202419 , 170086136082
Also http://stores.ebay.com/PhytoSense-Premium-Herbals/Buying-Hoodia-On-The-Internet.html uses these pics.

Four Bushman Photographs (file names Bush18.jpg, Bush32.jpg, Bush33.jpg & Bush48.jpg) have been copied from two Websites of mine (http://www.mikeelliottfineart.com/bushmen.htm and http://www.kalahari-san.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/photos.htm)and links have been placed back to one of my Websites (http://www.kalahari-san.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/photos.htm). The Image file numbers have been changed but are direct copies of my pictures. The eBay Seller & Store professes to contribute to some kind of Bushman Trust (or Charity) and by linking through these copied photographs back to my Web Pages implies that I endorse their product and/or gives their product credibility.

They have not asked my permission, I have never heard of them before, I am not aware of any Trust, foundation or charitable system that supports the Bushmen from the sales of these products and, because these Photo Pages of mine form part of a University accredited 'Bushman Information Website', my reputation and the credibility of my Websites may be seriously compromised.

Can you please sort this out. I will be placing a copy of this email on the Websites as part of the disclaimer I will be posting.

Thank you > Mike Elliott
